Moraine Sands Wind Farm, located in Mason County, Illinois, is a 38-turbine project with a total nameplate capacity of 171 MW. Moraine Sands joins Cordelio’s Glacier Sands Wind Farm, giving the company about 350 MW of generating capacity in Mason County. The project was officially commissioned in late 2023.

The project features Vestas V150 wind turbines, which each have a nameplate capacity of 4.5 MW. These new turbines generate more electricity with fewer machines. The project helps Illinois meet its clean power goals while also making a positive impact on Mason County through steady tax payments and local, good-paying jobs.
