Crossover WIND

The Crossover wind project is nearing completion in Cross County, Arkansas. We expect Crossover to be a major power producer in the region, generating as much as 135 MW of renewable power during windy periods. The project is comprised of 32 Vestas V-163 4.5 MW turbines, and will sell 100% of its power under a 20-year contract with Microsoft.

The turbines for the Crossover wind project have been sited and built, and will be operated, under a Commercial Wind Energy Project Development Agreement signed with the County Commission of Cross County, Arkansas in January of 2023.

Benefits of Wind Energy

Wind projects require very little land use, only requiring 3/4 of an acre of land per turbine site, including access roads. Wind projects bring good income to local farming families, providing long-term, predictable cash flows for the life of the project. The project also pays new property taxes to local counties or other local government units while allowing farming practices to continue as they were.
